How I did it

Skip La Rambla. Stay in Gràcia or Poble Sec. I rented a beautiful apartment with a balcony for €70 a night, did Sagrada Família at opening time, watched sunset from Bunkers del Carmel with a €4 bottle of wine, and ate tapas where the locals eat, €15 dinners that embarrassed restaurants three times the price.
